1 Cure 2 Fly 2 Holy Word 1 2 Holy Word 6 2 Magic Bolt 2 Manna 2 Shatter
The Culdcept PS2/DC Water+Air Starter deck is a lot less powerful than the Water+Air Starter deck in Culdcept Saga, mostly because it has less neutralize (only Sprite) and less firepower (its strongest creatures only have 40ST). King Tortoise is a pretty good land holder, but it would be much better as a supporting creature, and well, this Starter deck doesn't have any creatures with Support. Its low overall cost will still give the AI trouble, and Wall of Ice's 70HP in battle makes it a safe place to invest your G.

2 Fighter 2 Giant Rat 2 Goblin 2 Wolf 2 Dragonfly 2 Gas Cloud 2 Kobold 2 Minotaur 2 Pillar of Flame 2 Dwarf 2 Pan 2 Tiger Beetle 2 Wall of Stone 2 Woodfolk
2 Chain Mail 1 Flame Tongue 2 Leather Armor 1 Long Sword 2 Mace 1 Stone Hail
1 Cure 2 Fly 2 Holy Word 1 2 Holy Word 6 2 Magic Bolt 2 Manna 2 Shatter
About what you'd expect. The Fire+Earth Starter deck, like its Water+Air opposite, is a little weaker than the other two Starter decks because of Giant Rat. However, I do consider the Fire+Earth Starter deck to be a little stronger than Water+Air, mostly due to Woodfolk's Support ability, and because Flame Tongue is very effective against the abundance of Water creatures with Support ability in Culdcept DS. |

2 Fighter 2 Goblin 2 Skeleton 2 Wolf 2 Dragonfly 2 Gas Cloud 2 Kobold 2 Minotaur 2 Pillar of Flame 2 Eidolon 2 Giant Bat 2 Harpy 2 Hornet 2 Hurricane
2 Chain Mail 1 Firebolt 2 Leather Armor 1 Long Sword 2 Mace 1 Rock Biter
1 Cure 2 Fly 2 Holy Word 1 2 Holy Word 6 2 Magic Bolt 2 Manna 2 Shatter
Like its Water+Earth opposite, the Fire+Air Starter deck in Culdcept DS has a Skeleton instead of Giant Rat. The inclusion of Rock Biter as a weapon in place of one of the Long Swords is nice also, and helps overcome the abundance of Earth creatures with Support. Other than that, this deck is just like the other three Starter decks. |

2 Fighter 2 Goblin 2 Skeleton 2 Wolf 2 Giant Amoeba 2 King Tortoise 2 Lizardman 2 Merfolk 2 Wall of Ice 2 Dwarf 2 Pan 2 Tiger Beetle 2 Wall of Stone 2 Woodfolk
1 Air Slasher 2 Chain Mail 1 Freeze 2 Leather Armor 1 Long Sword 2 Mace
1 Cure 2 Fly 2 Holy Word 1 2 Holy Word 6 2 Magic Bolt 2 Manna 2 Shatter
One thing should pop out at you right away when looking at Culdcept DS's Water+Earth Starter deck. Right... Skeleton instead of Giant Rat. This would be insignificant in most decks, but it's a huge improvement in the Starter deck. 30/40 Regenerates instead of 20/10 Attacks First? Yes, please! |

2 Fighter 2 Giant Rat 2 Goblin 2 Wolf 2 Giant Amoeba 2 King Tortoise 2 Lizardman 2 Merfolk 2 Wall of Ice 2 Eidolon 2 Giant Bat 2 Harpy 2 Hornet 2 Hurricane
2 Chain Mail 1 Icicle 2 Leather Armor 1 Long Sword 2 Mace 1 Wind Cutter
1 Cure 2 Fly 2 Holy Word 1 2 Holy Word 6 2 Magic Bolt 2 Manna 2 Shatter
Culdcept DS has the same basic Water+Air Starter deck as in the other Culdcept games, though I like 1 Icicle and 1 Long Sword over the 2 Long Swords found in the PS2 and 360 Starter decks. Nothing fancy here, just dirt-cheap easy-to-play creatures, items, and spells. |
