To be quite clear. I realize that the Avatar Parts Guide has some problems. I'd like to take this opportunity for a potentially enlightening thread topic.

Let's hear what your strategies are to obtain the listed Avatar Parts. If your strategy is better than the one posted in my guide, we'll be more than happy to swap in the best ones and give credit where it's due.

Let's hear what you got people!

Angel Wings: On a map with no temples, obtain 3,000G or more using only symbols and achieve victory. Use Sanctum Guards, Coin of piety, Grace, and aurora!

Champion's Cloak: Complete "Colosseum III" in Story mode. Beat the map this should be very easy to do if short on cards go to versus and farm for cards!

Avatar Body Pieces

Cepter Robe: Complete "Provedin, Palace Of The Sun" in Story mode. Play the game out and watch it unfold and gain as experiencing the game’s very interesting story line

Chain Mail: Lose five or more lands and achieve victory. Use a deck with weak creatures but strong items and pick a weak AI let him take your territory then after five lost territories crush him with the use of your items and win!

Darkness Robe: Complete "The Altar Of Darkness" in Story mode. Play the game out and watch it unfold and gain as experiencing the game’s very interesting story line

Dwarven Armor: Raise to level 5 at least one territory for each of the four elements (fire, water, earth, and air) and achieve victory. Easy use a gold idol deck with dragons and get idol out to field then set dragons on their home squares and lvl em up to 5 (set the Tg to 20,000 tg and win)

Gladiator Mail: Complete "Santana Village" in Story mode. Play the game out and watch it unfold and gain as experiencing the game’s very interesting story line.

Jester Suit: Become exhausted through tolls and achieve victory. Ok this one is a little tricky fill a deck with expensive spells temperance’s, and then use others such as enchantments to lose money also then hit an enemy territory and become exhausted. Then come back and win it (set TG a little high so you can regain your loss).

Leather Armor: Pay five or more tolls and achieve victory. Simple land on purpose 5 lvl 1 territories and pay the tolls (100 g wasted) this is a minor setback then recover and win the match.

Lion Heart: Achieve victory with all lands, including your opponents, at level 1. Have Goblin Lair x4, Refuge x4, Squeeze... Manna etc. Play the game for 10 rounds dropping goblins where you can and win. Your opponent shouldn't have the opportunity to level up a land in 10 rounds.

Magma Armor: Change all lands to fire or earth elements and achieve victory. Set the land type to transform to your creature types ( fire and earth only ) and make your opponent a person with fire or earth creatures and win!

Mummy Tights: Place all idols at once. This sounds harder than it actually is. Notice how you don’t have to win! Zanador is the best map cause AI usually stay on the top part of the map play your idols on the lower section of the map until they are all there!

Ninja Suit: Win a 2 vs. 2 alliance fight with your ally, never once paying a toll. Chose a map with a ton of directions and set it for 10 rounds and have your partner be Slave Trader! And manas up your G and win!

Pirate Coat: Take land from the enemy twenty times or more and achieve victory. Goblins are good at this load your deck with goblin Lairs and Chariots with items and Red Cap to power em up and beat em up till you did it Tweenty times. (set TG to 15,00)

Plate Mail: Pay 20 or more tolls and achieve victory. Simple land on purpose 20 lvl 1 territories and pay the tolls (400 g wasted) this is a minor setback then recover and win the match. Use a regular deck and set the Tg a little high!

Scale Armor: Win a 2 vs. 1 alliance fight without using symbols. This one isn't overly hard if you know what you're doing. The AI is helpless against a Kelpie deck. If you can defend your territory, you're assured a toll every time your opponents land on it. I suggest setting a slightly higher than normal TG so that your opponents don't accidentally win. A good map for this would be Coliseum II as there are no Shrines or temples to accidentally give you symbols.

Shining Robe: Complete "Altar Of Light" in Story mode. Play the game out and watch it unfold and gain as experiencing the game’s very interesting story line

Shogun Armor: Win a 3 vs. 1 alliance fight. Requirements: Win a 3 vs. 1 alliance fight. This one may be a little difficult. Again, Kelpie is your friend if your able to keep him alive. Set the TG high like with the 2v1 match. This is so your opponents don't accidentally win while your setting yourself up for victory. Symbols are allowed for this so feel free to use any map you want.

Snake Armor: Achieve victory using a book containing no more than one of any individual card. These is very fun and very easy just do 30 random no requirement creatures and play 10 different equipment and 10 different spells also and win

Soldier Armor: Complete "Alcyon, The Imperial Capital" in Story mode. Play the game out and watch it unfold and gain as experiencing the game’s very interesting story line

Storm Armor: Change all lands to water and air elements and achieve victory.

Training Coat: Complete "The Anchoress' Mansion On Mt. Etumer" in Story mode. Play the game out and watch it unfold and gain as experiencing the game’s very interesting story line

Avatar Hand Pieces

Air Shield: Collect all air creature cards except E cards. Farm cards in versus mode this may take some time…

Aura Blade: Win 100 times against story characters. Play easy past stages until you receive it!

Battle Axe: Win 50 times against story characters. Play easy past stages until you receive it!

Blade of Culdra: Collect 1,000 cards. Farm cards in versus mode this may take some time…

Buckler: Defend land from the enemy at least five times and achieve victory. Defense creatures work well in this area and use neutralizers!

Claymore: Steal land from the enemy at least five times and achieve victory. Big Creature crush little one aim for the weak rather than the strong and obtain victory!

Earth Shield: Collect all earth creature cards except E cards. Farm cards in versus mode this may take some time…

Fire Shield: Collect all fire creature cards except E cards. Farm cards in versus mode this may take some time…

Holder Blade: Complete "Alcyon, The Imperial Capital" in Story mode. Play the game out and watch it unfold and gain as experiencing the game’s very interesting story line

Knight Shield: Defend land from the enemy at least 20 times and achieve victory. Defense creatures work well in this area and use neutralizers! Go against Classic Rilara she likes to Invade!

Mace: Receive five or more tolls and achieve victory. Holy words and quicksand to force your opponent upon your squares and then defend them and win!

Magic Shield: Achieve victory using a book with no spell cards. Easy Use Meltias idea! All creature and Items!

Masamune: Achieve victory via sudden death. Set TG for 99,000 Tg Kelpie the guy on the X map and obtain victory by killing him!

Prismatic Wand: Collect all item cards except E cards. Farm cards in versus mode this may take some time…

Storm Causer: Destroy 10 or more creatures at once. Against Meltia Use a combo of temperance and Insect swarm when she has 10 creatures on the board! (Don’t need to win!)

Tower Shield: Using a book with no item cards, collect a total of 1,000G or more in tolls and achieve victory. Boggart lvl 5 or Woverine Lvl 5 no item deck use spells!

Trident: Achieve victory within 20 rounds other than by sudden death. Make a deck with money making spells. Ally yourself in a 2v2. Set the rounds to 10. Win.

Vorpal Sword: Achieve victory with three Gearion in play at the same time. First off... What is a Gearion? A Gearion is a creature you get from first combining a Sky and Ground Gear to form an Androgear. Take the Androgear and combine it with a Beast Gear. This is all done via the Support ability. A Gearion is a nasty beastie at 80/80 with First Attack, Neutralize Scrolls and can't be targeted by spells or abilities. The work is going to be getting one of these guys in play. Once you do, throw down some Quicksilver and use their territory ability to evolve into what should be the biggest creature on the board: Gearion. You'll have three of them out in no time.

Water Shield: Collect all water creature cards except E cards. Farm cards in versus mode this may take some time…

Wizard Staff: Collect all spell cards except E cards. Farm cards in versus mode this may take some time…

Avatar Head Pieces

Black Cat Ears: Defeat a dragon with a Powder Eater and achieve victory. How is a little 1/1 Powder Eater going to destroy a dragon?! Well... A Powder Eater (PE) with Gaseous Form attacking a dragon with Senility could pull it off. Or you could take the more conventional route and beef up the PE to a ball of fuzzy doom using Fay, Mutation, Fat Body and Lichenoid. The beauty of PE is that he multiplies with the stats he currently has. So, if you have a 60/60 PE and you multiply with it. You'll get another 60/60 PE. These guys can sweep a board quickly if left unchecked. When you think about it, Dragons should be scared of those little puffballs. I know I am.

Chain Helm: Fail five or more invasions and achieve victory. Use weak creatures and fail but still obtain victory make sure you invade low lvl territories and lose to make sure you don’t suffer the effects of the toll.

Cowboy Hat: Receive 3,000G or more in a single toll and achieve victory. Boggart in a lvl 5 land or Wolverine in a lvl 5 land will do it!

Crown: Collect 500 cards. Farm cards in versus mode this may take some time…

Dwarven Helm: Achieve victory after chaining at least ten territories. Play a single color and make the map change to the color of your creatures make opponent play the same color so you don’t have to change color

Goat Helm: Using a book with only R cards, obtain a total magic of at least 10,000G during Story mode and achieve victory. Like the Squirrine Tail and Black Cat Tail, you use Rare cards to build your deck for this part. The hard part here is getting 50 rare cards that make a good deck. For newer players who don't even have 50 cards, this will have to wait. A good deck to beat on the AI with would be a dragon deck. Each dragon is rare. Combine this with Gold Idol, which is also rare and you no longer have to worry about land pre-requisites. You can also use Goblin Lair which is also Rare. Chains are done with ease with Sakuya or Ahuizotl. With some thought and careful building, you can come up with a decent deck to accomplish your goal.

Golden Brave: During battle, raise a creature's ST to 200 or more and achieve victory. Red Cap Goblin Lair deck is an easy way or mono green with Branch army! And win!

Jester Hood: Exhaust the opponent through tolls and achieve victory. Kelpie is an impossible creature for AI to avoid Exhaust opponent and win!

Leather Helm: Pay 400G or more in a single toll and achieve victory. Play the game eventually you will pay it!

Lion Helm: During battle, raise a creature's HP to 200 or more and achieve victory. Red Cap Goblin Lair deck is an easy way or mono Blue Undine!

Mummy Mask: Achieve victory having obtained a total magic of at least 90,000G. Easy set Tg for 90,000 and win

Ninja Mask: Achieve victory without paying a single toll. Chose a map with very great varity of directions and set it for 10 rounds and win

Pirate Hat: Receive at least twenty tolls and achieve victory. Play the game out this will eventually happen if not then set a game for 20,000 Tg and you will eventually receive it!
Plate Helm: Achieve victory without fighting once. Use a All spell deck look in forums or Deck lists under Culdcept saga

Scale Helm: Achieve victory while you have all the dragons in play at the same time. To begin with, in order to get this you need these creatures on the board: Volcanic Dragon, Deep-Sea Dragon, Hardrock Dragon, Armored Dragon, Lightning Dragon and Dragon Lord. You get the Dragon Lord by evolving a Dragon Whelp via their Territory Ability. Nothing else matters for this.
If you don't have all the dragons then you can play the random game with Dragon Eggs and evolve them. Hopefully, you'll get the dragon you need, if not... you still have a dragon. Gold Idol works wonders with this deck premise. All the prerequisites for dragons can be brutal and difficult to establish. If you have no Gold idol then cards like Goblin Lair, Blynx, Spirit Walk, Relief and Replace are all viable ways to get prerequisite land. Replace will simply let you swap a creature regardless of prerequisites. Good luck!

Shogun Helm: Pay a total of 3,000G or more in tolls and achieve victory. Recovering from a 3000G toll is pretty rough. Giving your opponent the ability to make you pay a 3000G toll is worse. This may take some set up on your part to accomplish as most AI don't carry Greed in their deck. Rilara and Slave Trader have decks designed to do such. If you want to risk it, take them on. I highly recommend a game with a fairly high TG so you have the time to recover and deal with your opponent. Pack lots of Drain Magic so you can take back at least 1000 of that toll when the time comes. Good luck.

Snake Circlet: Achieve victory using a book containing only neutral creatures. Set a deck with neutral creatures only and win look into forums for ideas!

Squirrine Ears: Fill the map with Powder Eaters and achieve victory. Beef up a Powder Eater with Lichenoid, Fay, Fat Body, Mutation. Give one of the PE's with 90-100 HP a Phantasm. Use Lunatic Light on him. Now you have a 90/90 100/100 PE. Throw a Spirit Walk on him and sweep the board. If your having problems getting into a section because it's currently full of creatures, use a Chariot and move one of your big guys into the new territory. This will take some time and you could accidentally win while doing this, so set the TG very high.

Valkyria Helm: Achieve victory in a way other than sudden death when the enemy holds no territory. Kelpie decks are good ways to exhaust your opponent. Pack some Word of Recall into your deck, wait for the time that your opponent exhausts himself and you have enough money to win, then use Word of Recall on yourself to win before they have a chance to lay down another creature. You can also pull this off when your filling the map with Powder Eaters as you'll be the only one holding all the land period.

Wizard Hat: Achieve victory using a book containing no creature cards. Set up a 2v2 alliance match. Create a book concentrating on buffing your allies creatures along with making money. Add Goblin's Lair x4 and set the match to 10 rounds. You'll get this easy.

You do have to win... it's just that the AI has no idea what to do with 13 different idols on the map, making it exceptionally easy.

My bad. We've confused the avatar part with the Idol Lord achievement. You're right, you don't have to win to get it.

I just got the Jester Suit part again. To add to the strategy in the guide, Drain Magic, Pain, and Land Drain really help you come back from the magic exhaustion much more quickly.

First, you have Drain Magic and Pain at the start to drain away your own G and your opponent's at the same time (use Drain Magic when your opponent has less than 267G in hand or you'll gain G), so you get exhausted more quickly and your opponent builds up less of a lead. Second, you have all 3 after you get exhausted to accelerate your comeback (use Drain Magic opposite what you did before, when they have more than 267G now)

I used a Land Transfer deck against Meltia and used my Immediate creatures to summon and then waste 100G turning a neutral land green, so I helped exhaust myself even faster, and setup my green chain later on. 3 rounds after being exhausted, I was only down by about 1000G. 15 rounds after that, it was over, 12470G to 275G.

Just acquired Dwarven Armor again. Exact same deck and map as above. Mt. Etumer makes it way too easy to tuck away level 5 lands where the AI won't mess with them, and its layout means you can easily avoid the castle until you have that last color leveled to 5 and then head home. Using a Land Transfer deck means you can get a lot of G in your hand in a very short time and then dump that G into level 5 lands with quickness. Simple. :D

Mummy suit- go against meltia at zanador set the Tg for 10,000 and play at the bottom half of the map and set all your idols into play you don't have to win unless you want the achievment also so this makes obtaining this piece fairly simple. There are a total of 13 idols, Basalt, Brass, Clay, Ebony, Gold, Granite, Iron, Ivory, Jade, Lead, Marble, Opal, and Silver. make a deck with 2 of each idol in it and make the rest of the cards money making or draw spells so you can sed your idols out faster!

Okay so I've tried several times to unlock Storm/Magma armor with no success. Following the tips posted here I've made versus matches with morphing squares but the game doesn't allow for a story character. I've had a match where I've controlled every space on the board (with red or green) and still no success. What gives?

Is there a sure fire strategy I am missing?

Don't change any options in the first options menu, only in the second one (after you choose the map). The game will allow you to play against a Story mode character then. Good luck! :)

Thanks man that helped. Of course I feel kind of silly that I never noticed you could change the options on the confirmation screen. Oh well, at least I got it done.

I am having a problem acquiring the Devil Wings, The description given says I need to do this.
2e. Devil Wings
The jet black wings of a demon. The symbol of those who trust not in gods, but in their own power.
Allegory:
Conditions to acquire: Achieve victory without owning territories and without using a single symbol.
Suggested Story Character(s): Meltia (her: no spells, you: lots o' spells!)
Suggested Map(s): Mt. Etumer (very few battles, easy to loop back to castle; choose Neutral land)
Suggested G Goal: 5000G (but this doesn't matter, set the rounds to 10)
Suggested Creatures: Gemoid, Giant Rat, Goblin, Powder Eater (cheapest creatures possible)
Suggested Items: Earth Shield (just this, you don't need anything else)
Suggested Spells: All the G spells you can cram into the deck
Suggested Strategy: This part is ridiculously easy to acquire. Setup a Versus match against Meltia on Mt. Etumer with all Neutral land and 10 rounds. Walk the opposite direction from Meltia to minimize tolls and battles. Cast G spells every turn you can, and summon free creatures as often as possible. With the Neutral land, Meltia won't summon her creatures very often, and even if she does, yours are free! You should win with ease.
Difficulty: Easy

My question is how do I setup a game to use a story character while changing the rounds to 10? It will not let me do this, Unless there is a trick when making a custom rule set or something, It simply won't let me choose a story character if I alter the rounds because I had to use custom game.

Leave the first options screen in Versus unchanged, select the map, and then make the changes on the second options screen. Yeah, we don't understand why they set the game up that way, either.

Hope this helps!

Aura Blade
Allegory: You win one battle after another. Your enemies tremble before your staggering number of victories. No one can stop you. Unto you shall be bestowed both praise and prize.

Magic Shield
Allegory: Cast aside your magic. When you achieve victory using only the power of monsters and tools, you shall obtain strength along with this item.

The Allegories for those are missing on the Guide. :)
