I've noticed that I do this with a number of cards, something about the picture, their abilities or the avatar just begins to define the card in my book. For instance, Sir Gawain became 'Sir Ground Smasher' because, as we can all see, he REALLY hates the floor. If you let him he'll pound it all day. Anyone do this with other cards?

Friends and I are also guilty of this. Although we have a few where we make fun of the announcer's pronunciation, rather than the creature name itself.

Behemoth = Beat him off
Wraith = Rape
Aspidochelone = Speedo Cologne (Must smell like heated balls)


Now for nicknames:

Lamia = Labia

Tarasque = TarASS or THAT ASS

Baldanders = Mr. BALLLLLLLLdanders (Sung like Mr. Bojangles)

Boggart = Humphrey

Fighter = Hobo Warrior

Barrow Wight = Barry White, or "Aww baby..." when he puts them to sleep.

Bia = Biatch

Gas Cloud = Ass Clown

Hellhound = Greg (He's a dead-ringer for a friend of ours)

Humbaba = Humbaba (Because it's fun to say)

Spudfolk = Zach Galifianakis (I see a resemblance)
