A fun exchange in the chat just now reminded me of our amusing "What if" thread in the Culdcept Saga forum, so I thought I'd bring it back for Culdcept Revolt. Feel free to post any card ideas you have, whether they're serious or silly.

Here's one I thought of that'd give any match a dose of chaos:

Chaos Elemental (R)(Neutral)
ST:20 HP:20 MHP:20 G:40+[]
Item Limit: Cannot use Tools
Synthesis: Quintessence (ST & HP+20) / Attack Bonus: Transforms opponent into a random creature. / Secret Art (80G): Changes a target territory with a level lower than 4 to a random element.

A magical maelstrom of chaotic energy of unknown origin, this creature is normally weak but gains strength when infused with energy from the 4 elements. It transforms everything it touches, with unpredictable results.

Item Limit: Cannot use Armor
Receives land effect from lands of any element.
Secret Art (100G): Transform Chameleon Djinn to any color and its occupied territory to any land type.

Derceto7 came up with a very interesting concept in chat just now...

Reversion (R)(Instant)
G: 100+[]
Cast the reverse of the discarded spell card. If the spell can't be reversed, user draws two cards.

Examples:
  • - Target creature direct damage and mass damage spells would heal the affected creatures.
  • - Single-target enchantments would be dispelled only on a like-enchanted target. Likewise with a Global enchantment.
  • - Multi-target enchantments would be dispelled on every creature that has the same enchantment as the discarded spell.
  • - Holy Banishment, Fear and Exile would allow you to summon a creature from your hand to the vacant land of your choice.
  • - Poison Mind would allow you to look at the top 6 cards in your own deck and draw a card.
  • - Turn to the Wall would change a Wall of Stone into a random Earth creature.
  • - Temptation would allow you to use the reverse of the target creature's Secret Art.
  • - Spartoi would banish a Skeleton on the map back to its owner's hand.
  • - Sense of Wild would randomly banish one of your creatures back to your hand.
  • - Land-shift spells would turn the land to the opposite element - Water Shift would shift to Fire instead, Earth Shift would shift to Air, Quintessence would shift to a random element, and Home Ground would shift all matching lands to the element opposite to the creature that's on it.
  • - Thrust Blow would work like Outrage, and vice-versa.
  • - Land-level-lowering spells would raise the level of the affected land(s) instead.
  • - Theft spells would give instead, where possible.
  • - Smash cards couldn't be reversed, so you'd draw two cards instead.

You get the idea. :woohoo:

Hades (R) (Green)
ST:0 MHP: 60 G: 100 + 2 green

Base ST + 5 every time a creature dies
SA (80G): Summons the last creature to have died to an adjacent land. It has halved ST and MHP.

The lord of the Underworld grows in power with each dispatched soul. The dead are bound to his will.


Bogeyman (S) (Yellow)

ST:30 MHP: 40 G: 70 + 1 Yellow

Base ST + 10 every time a Water or Wood land is converted to Fire or Wind by any means (spell, command, Tiamat/Typhon)
In battle: if opponent creature has greater ST, only opponent attacks. If Bogeyman has greater ST, only Bogeyman attacks.

It's powerless before creatures that do not fear it, but its terrifying visage can cause one's will to falter. As the land grows more hostile, so does its ability to frighten.


Mammon (S) (Red)
ST: 30 MHP: 50 G: 70 + 1 Red
In battle: ST + 30 if user has more G on hand than opponent
Upon victory: Destroys a random card from opponent
Upon defeat: Destroys a random card from user

It tempts men with the promise of riches, but dealing with a demon can carry a hefty price indeed.


Dagon (R) (Blue)

ST: 0 MHP: 60 G: 80 + 2 Blue

Neutralizes: All physical damage if equipped with a scroll
Scroll Critical Hit
Upon defeat: Halves opponents MHP and ST

Its knowledge of the arcane surpasses that of any mortal. Even a successful campaign against this entity will take a toll on one's sanity.

Dimensional Rift — 300G + [] + 1 Land Requirement of Each Element (R, G, Y, B, Multi)

Randomly alters Magic Goal anywhere from 1/2 to 2.5x its original value.

This card could be in a class of its own, say, Chaos Cards, which could be restricted from use if the hosting player so chooses.

"Creates an inter-dimensional rift that destabilizes the world. Summon at your own peril."

That's a fun new concept! We've never had a card that alters match parameters like that.
