Hello and welcome to the first ever Interchange Tourney!

Everyone will play every other player 1 time and the 2 players with the best records will face off in a finale for the ages! All matches will be set up with random maps. Good luck all and have fuN!

Current Standings (updated 12/22/13):

MadMaxx (4-1)
Andyman (3-2)
Willben (3-2)
DJD (3-2)
Derceto7 (2-3)
Pezcat (0-5)

Deck Usage:

Green Machine - 13
Ogre - 9
Dragonz - 4
Air - 2
Kelpie - 3
Neutral - 1

With the 3 way tie for first place, There will be a FFA between Andy, DJD and Will to determine who will battle MadMaxx for the finals! (I was kinda hoping it would come to this!) The same rules apply you cannot use the deck you created. your map for this match will be Lalasti. Good luck and congrats to all 3 of you!

Also, Pez (the evil genius behind The Green Machine) and Andy (who created the Ogre deck) will be battling out in the "most popular" deck finals. Congrats to you guys as well.

Congrats to Andy in winning the FFA, the finals match will be between Andyman and MadMaxx on [random] map. Good luck you two and have fun!

CONGRATULATIONS to Andyman on winning both the CHAMPIONSHIP and the most popular deck match of the inaugural Interchange Tournament. I hope everyone involved had fun and if the interest is there I would love to run this tournament again next November(ish). In the meantime have fun and keep Ceptering on! :woohoo:

Djd I hate to do that to ya, are you sure you don't want to try to get a match in again before Sunday?

I don't think our internet connections will match up for some reason.. And to keep things rolling it will best then to slow the tourney down due to matching issues...

I'm sorry to hear that DJD but thank you for taking the high road in this situation.

TO all particpants:

With DJD dropping out, leaving us with 5 players, I'm going to change the format on the fly. Everyone will play everyone else once; setting up on a random map with random land. The players with the best 2 records when all matches are completed will go head to head for a winner take all tourney championship. But don't worry, the 2 'most picked' decks will still be squaring off against each other. Any questions feel free to message me privately or respond to the thread.

Enjoy all! :silly:

Are we going to have a scheduled rotation, or shall we just go GUNZ AH BLAZIN' and work the game sked out ourselves?

All: My current schedule is a little tight - I'm on swing shift, so I am unavailable 2:00pm-midnight (pacific) nightly, with Tues/Wed off. My Tuesday nights are eaten by a weekly D&D game, however (afternoons still work). I can play prior to work so long as the game starts prior to 2pm (I leave just before 3pm, so as long as we don't dillydally on games, I can play as long as we start before 2pm).

Additionally, I go on vacation the last week of November for two weeks, so my availability will increase during that time (only a few of the days are "taken" with family stuff right around Thanksgiving. Other than that my schedule is malleable).

I apologize and thank ya'll in advance for being willing to work with me to play with ya!

I actually thought I was just forfeiting the match with max because of our Internet connection.. Not the whole tourney...

 DJD I do apologize I must have misunderstood what you meant!

By all means you are still a participant here. I think I'm going to stick with the new change of scheduling however, that way everyone gets to play more matches than with the previous setup :).

Will and I played our match on Stairway to the Gods tonight. It was very close all the way, and we had very similar strategies (but with different decks - Will had the Air deck, I had the Earth one). I managed to have just barely enough at the castle to take the win. If the match had gone just a little longer, Will probably would have taken it.

Great game, Will!

I just noticed... Deck 5, the mostly blue one, appears to only have 48 cards in it... are we going to play this as it lies, or does it need two more cards? Just need to know as I'm loading these onto my save for future use...

Andy and I just played our match on Lalasati, me with the Ogres, him with the green deck. Andy opened strong and slowly but surely stretched the lead out on me until he earned a solid win in a rather non-violent game - only one battle the whole time.

Well done sir! GL in the next one!

Derceto7 and I just played a very silly Earth (me) vs. Dragons (him) match on Windmill. I spent the entire match watching my creatures get zapped, eaten, zapped AND eaten, scroll-scorched, ray-blasted and just generally killed every which way. Fortunately for me, I treated all of my creatures as expendable and slowly pulled away for the win despite the insane level of violence. Very fun match!

Maxx and I played our match last night on Arrow. Maxx chose the ever so popular and undefeated Green deck while I went with the Ogre deck. I managed to get a quick lead but Maxx caught up and we were neck and neck almost the entire game until I was able to overcome the goal and make it to the castle before them. At one point I'm pretty sure Maxx had enough pretty little necklaces in his hand to open a jewelry store.

GG maxx, good luck the rest of the way.

Yes, good game Derceto7. I did have four at one point.

I just played Andyman in our match on Cravonia. We also picked those same two decks. He ran the Green Machine and I played Ogres. I had the lead for most of the game... Ogres everywhere, but he came back strong at the end with some great strategy. Then he pulled some more late game trickeration, and it turned into a race to the castle. He could have won if he rolled high on his last turn, but then rolled a one. Good Game Andy.

Pez is online and I'm going to play him now.

Pez and I played on Lalasati just now. A good game for sure. I played Ogres, and he played Dragonz. We both kinda struggled early game. I struggled a little bit less than him. He had some poor rolls all game long, and at the end it turned into a race to the castle. I chiseled away at his chain, but it didn't seem to matter as my rolls were probably the real reason I won. Good Game Pez, and good luck to you in your remaining matches.

Maxx and I just finished our game on Lalasati - He took the Ogres and I took the Dragons. Maxx opened out a steady lead early, and stymied me repeatedly before I made a symbol-based charge and caught up to him. I landed on the Castle and boosted my total over 7k, but never made it back to the castle as I just couldn't seem to roll above 2, and Maxx was on the doorstep when I pulled that stunt. I ended over 7k, but Maxx cracked the ceiling and made it back first for the win.

Well done Maxx! I hate losing, but in a good game against a quality opponent, it doesn't seem to hurt so bad! :D
