With Season IX wrapped up, and Blind League 4 getting towards the final few rounds, I am throwing this tourney out to see if anyone would be interested.

I don't think this will be a very competetive tourney it's more along the goofy/fun/creative side so no pressure to any new people who want to get their feet wet before Season X and Chaos II start up.

The idea for this is that you can only play themed decks. And no, I don't mean "movement control" or "mass damage" as a theme. We're talking about "fun" themes. For instance Mad_Maxx and I were joking around in the chat room and came up with a deck based on Major League Baseball (hustle, permission,crusher, doppleganger (for Minnesota Twins), Wall of ice (Colorado Rockies) etc) basically any card that could go in conjunction with an MLB game. Or do a Christmas theme. Or Undead theme. Be Creative! That's the whole fun of it. You can stretch cards a little but they have to fit the theme.

The set up will be like most of the other leagues: 7,000tg goal, random lands. It'll run like the blind tourney double elimination style with random opponents per round and I'll set the maps.

Again, just trying to gauge some interest. It should be a laid back fun tournament and, like said before, it will be a fun way for the "veterans" to build a different style deck and the "rookies" to get used to the a league type system before the *real* tournaments start up again

So all cards medieval. Knight, Paladin, Catapult, etc.

Right on Maxx. You don't have to use the same deck each round either if you got a few themes you want to play around with. Just have to state what Theme you're running before the match begins so your opponent can see that you followed.

I might be interested but it will partly depend on when the tourney is and how busy I get with uni come august. about what dates are we talking and about how many games a week would it be/etc?

Well I will probably get the ball rolling when we get enough people signed up (I'm hoping for 10). I don't want to move at a snails' pace but it's not something that will be rushed probably give a month/round deadline (seeing this as about normal pace the way the blind tourney is running). I'm open for ideas and it's flexible I want as many people to play as are interested. Like I said its just for fun and practice

p.s. You could do a Monk deck!

I have an idea... tell me what you think. Take all of the cards that use a ton of math like...
Aspidochelone and Mudman and Spectre and combine them with others like Lunatic Hare, Fat Body, Illness, Dream Terrain. I will call it!!!!

LOL! I forgot about that one. When I get home, I should get on the net and try to build that one. But what creatures can I use for that one?

Hm.... Start maybe with Leprechan (Going on the dwarven drunkard theme here), Dwarf (cause they drink like Irishmen) then Galetanous Wall (Jello Shots), Wall of Ice (To cool the drinks), and maybe some of the living items. Cause you know when you are drunk, stuff starts moving on it's own. lol.

Sadly, I can't make the deck EXACTLY like I posted it yesterday... but I just switched a few cards around. But my general idea should be posted by now on the deck ideas.

I just fixed my errors, so it SHOULD be 50 now. Me and my typing... bleh. I hope you guys like it!!!

Cool man, you don't have to post your deck you can keep it to yourself and it'll make for a pleasant surprise and hopefully quite a few laughs during your match. Also, you do not have to use the same deck for the entire tournament so keep on creating!

Yea, but what fun would it be to the rest of the forum if only the players saw it? I will probably try to create something else. Maybe in a bit, since i can't seem to sleep... grrr....

Glad to see some interest has perked. We now have 6 contestants, I would like 10 but I can run the tourney with 8 so 2 more and the fun can begin! If we can get enough people I'd like to start the tourney by October, my schedule switches from 3rd shift to 2nd shift giving me plenty of Culdcept time So sign up now or forever hold your peace!

Just coming in to encourage anyone interested to sign up regardless of skill level.

Looking for 2-4 more players to get this thing rolling.
