Ah! I know it's not been released by Tokyopop yet (if ever), but I'd love to find a release date for it somewhere.

Even just so I could finish reading the story, I've tried looking for a copy of it translated by a fan to read/download from online, but that's to no avail. Culdcept seems to be non-existent on every manga site and group I know...

Ah! Need to know what happens to Najaran! And yay to for the Lord of Water! Adore them both =^.^=

Anyone know anything (please, please don't let it be that Tokyopop isn't going to translate the last volume when they already did the first five, that would be pointless and cruel)?

Volume 6 was released, just not in English... to the best of my knowledge anyway. It very likely will never be released in English. :(

I have all five manga novels of Culdcept and I love them to death especially volume 5 where Najaran show off all of her skill she has aquired from all of her previous adventures in one epic free-for-all match. According to the last pages of the magna there is some hint of the Volume 6 coming and if they were not planing on making one for the US they would have mentioned it their. but it's been about 3 1/2 years with no sign of an american translated copy. I am eager as you are to read that volume 6 but we either have to wait or take matters into our own hands and see if we can translate a Japanese copy ourselves or persuade Tokyopop to continue the series in the US. I just hope we do not have to do that.

hmm... I wonder if anyone here at the site can or knows someone who can translate Japanese to English.

If it's spoken, I can understand Japanese (almost) fluently, however I rarely practice my reading skills. I will brush up my skills and do my best (however unprofessional it would be) to translate the 6th volume to English if I can get my hands on a copy (digitally or physically).

Thankfully English is my native language so I shouldn't have any problem there and I could them attempt to use my 5 years of Japanese classes to use for something other than watching Anime =^.^=

As you can see, I'm obviously brimming with confidence (yay for sarcasm coming across the internet), but I wouldn't mind giving it a shot (seriousness this time).

Thank you so much for offering your expertise to unravel what lies in the Japanese version of Culdcept Vol. 6. I think now is a good time to ressurect an old quote from Andyman on one of my earlier topics "I miss the Culdcept Manga Series"
Andyman wrote:
I haven't gotten to read them yet, but I bet they're cool! Scan them and send them to me, and I'll put them on the site for all to enjoy!

Please? :D

I was hoping to able to do this but alas I have not been able to find the time or the right scanner to do this. But this would be even cooler if it has a online magna reader dedicated to the Tokyopop's Culdcept Series, 8-) . Perhaps you might want to take on this task in addition to the translation of the 6th Vol. and claim all the credit in doing so. :)

I'll throw in here that I'd be happy to add scans of all 6 volumes to the site if someone wishes to provide them. Heck, I'll even work my Photoshop magic on Volume 6 if I have an English translation of it. :D

Great topic, blackkat. Thanks!

Since the last post I've spent a couple of days looking all over the net to find the 6th volume, but to no avail. Cannot find a Japanese copy anywhere. However, I did find on many sites asking about when the 6th volume would be coming to English (though looking at all those posts, they were quite a few years back), a couple of the sites mentioned that the 6th volume was released in Spanish. Some even had links (dead links sadly) to a scanlated copy of the volume, so it does seem that it exists. Sadly, couldn't find a copy of that book anywhere or any place that had that scanlation online with a link that still worked.

Wondering if anyone else had any luck. If even it was in Spanish, even though I haven't spoken it in a couple years, I've had 9 years of Spanish as I went to a Spanish Immersion school k-8th. Meaning I could attempt a translation of it from that as well.

As far as scanning the current 5 volumes, I will not with my current copies as I refuse to open my manga so far as to break the spines. Makes them last longer. However, if I acquire a second set, I'll be more than willing to scan them in and upload them.

I found the Japenese version of Culdcept volume 6 on Amazon there are 8 sellers with 7 of the books are used and 1 I think is a new copy and all of the prices are in yen I think. :?

anyways I converted the prices to US Dollars (rounded up nearest 100th) and each one has an additional fee of 250 ¥~ 3.03 (I think this is the international shipping fee, but I am not sure)

Used: 172 ¥~ $2.09 (+ $3.03 ~ $5.12)
Used: 173 ¥~ $2.10 (+ $3.03 ~ $5.13)
Used: 493 ¥~ $5.97 (+ $3.03 ~ $9.00)
Used: 500 ¥~ $6.06 (+ $3.03 ~ $9.09)
Used: 506 ¥~ $6.13 (+ $3.03 ~ $9.16)
Used: 579 ¥~ $7.02 (+ $3.03 ~ $10.05)
Used: 580 ¥~ $7.03 (+ $3.03 ~ $10.06)
Collectable: 989 ¥~ $11.99 (+ $3.03 ~ $15.02)

Here's the page I found them on (select "these sellers" to view all the sellers)

Yay, I'll just have to buy that then =^.^=

Guess I'll have to start looking for a second set of volumes 1-5 so that I can scan those in as well =>.<=

If scanning proves to be a hassle, you can always ship those copies for Andyman to scan. :)

Just ordered my copy of Culdcept Vol. 6 from Amazon.co.jp =^.^=

Should have it by the end of the month... Though, even after I get it, it's going to take me a while to brush up on my Japanese...

...I wonder... How much would it be to commission someone to translate the book? Or if we could find a group that already does fan translations to translate it for free by providing the raw of the book?... hehehe, wishful thinking...

Anywho, I might as well start practicing on my kanji before the new school semester starts (which is next week).

Very cool. No idea on the translation part, but I imagine there are some out there. Maybe someone who'd do it for free in return for the scans. You might even just type the characters into Google Translate and see if you can figure it out that way. Good luck!

I just found scans of all 6 volumes online, in very good quality. They're in Japanese, but I'll have them up on the site here in a day or 2.

Each of the 6 volumes now has its own gallery on the site! You can see them all (and much more) here.

Just found the Spanish version on Amazon, should be here in a week or so. Should be easy to translate and then we can finally find out how the story ends!
