Sometimes a deck shouldn't be a tournament-grade, ruthless, testicle-kicking machine. This one is thematic, with more emphasis on flavor than any effectiveness although it is a decent enough invasion and defense deck.

1) Squeeze is more flexible than Shatter even if more expensive.

2) Upheaval is for terra-forming high-level lands on the cheap. Fire chains are good not just for you, but for Pyrallis as well.

3) It's intended to be a theme deck. It will likely be eaten by decks packing anti-fire and anti-creature measures.
